Corn protein feed, also known as corn gluten powder, is a protein raw material with great potential for development. It is made by wet grinding corn kernels to produce corn coarse starch milk, which is hydrolyzed, separated, concentrated, fermented and dried. Its protein content is 20%~70%. Therefore, replacing some soybean meal with corn protein feed can not only alleviate the shortage of protein resources in China, but also reduce feed costs and improve the economic benefits of livestock and poultry breeding. However, due to the high crude fiber content (10%~20%) and the presence of resistant starch in corn protein feed, it is not conducive to the absorption and utilization of nutrients by animals, which affects its widespread application in production. At present, reports on the application of corn protein feed mainly focus on animal diets such as pigs and sheep.
